How Much Snow Does it Take to Make a Snow Cave?

I have been telling the kids that we should go camping in the snow. My plan was to either build a snow cave or to build a Quin-Zee.

Shantell wasn't to thrilled with the prospect of her kids freezing to death in the mountains. I did alot of winter camping as a Boy Scout, so I am pretty sure of my winter camping abilities. Needless to say, I didn't take the kids camping in the mountains. I built a Quin-Zee in the backyard instead. Now the kids can freeze to death in the backyard. :)

I started off by pilling up snow from parts of our yard, as well as my neighbors yards. There were two big snow storms within a week of each other so there was plenty of snow. I started carving into the mound mid afternoon. I should have stated working on it earlier in the day. The neighbors blasted xBox 360 prevented me from starting earlier.
